Maddumabandara
Maddumabandara was a great child hero in Sri Lanka. His father was Ehalepola Adikaram. His mother was Ehalepola Kumarihami. He had a brother and sister. His father was a minister. The king, Sri Wickrama Rajasinghe was angry with him. The king helped the English rulers. But, Ehalepola did not help them. He was angry with them. He wanted to protect our country. So, the king wanted to kill Ehalepola’s family. Maddumabandara’s brother was afraid of death. But, Maddumabandara was not. He came forward bravely and said, “Aiyandi, don’t be afraid. I will show you how to die”.
