The sonnet-18, “Shall I compare thee to a summer's day was written by William Shakespeare (1564-1616). It is absolutely a love poem.  In this poem, the poet deals with love.

"Shall I compare thee to a summer’s day" is a poem, which is written by William Shakespeare. This poem can be considered as a sonnet because it has 14 lines. In the poem, Shakespeare asks whether he should compare a lover to a summer’s day by describing the summer season.
